Bluish gray-green bunchgrass with densely tufted and somewhat shiny blades growing 10 inches to 3 ft tall. This vigorous long-lived bunchgrass was abundant in prairies of Western Washington, typically in glacial outwash soils. Sun. Soil: Dry, well-drained.
